In 2019, the Farmani Group launched the first edition of the the Creative Communication Award, the sister-initiative of the IDA International Design Awards. It aims to promote the creativity, excellence, and outstanding execution of ideas in graphic design, communication, advertising, and digital media.
Now that it’s back for its third year, you definitely shouldn’t pass up the opportunity to shoot your shot.
Don’t Miss Your Chance to Win a C2A
You can now send in your submission(s) for this year’s Creative Communication Award. The competition is open worldwide to all students, hobbyists, and professionals that at least 18 years old.
C2A winners will have their work showcased on the main page of the website, in an online gallery exhibition, as well as in press releases and newsletter announcements. That’s exposure to a “hundred [of] thousands of creative thought leaders and potential clients.
The award’s acronym, C2A, is a double entendre. While it obviously stands for Creative Communication Award (two words that start with C, followed a word that starts with A), it also represents a call to action through the power of design.
“Your stories—whether told through graphics or through words, whether still or moving, digital or analogue—matter, they are important, and they deserve to be honored, shared and celebrated,” reads the C2A about page.
What Is the C2A’s Judging Criteria?
It varies from category to category, but the judges are looking for “excellence and outstanding achievement” in one or more of the following areas:
- Design excellence – the aesthetic or visual appeal of the overall design
- Creativity and originality – whether the design stands out; provides something new to the market or improves upon an existing product/service
- Impact and emotional significance – the benefit delivered to the user(s)
- Content – high quality narrative or script writing
- Technological innovation – the incorporation of innovative technologies
- Utility – whether the design fulfills its intended purpose
- Emotional quotient – the sense of enjoyment or satisfaction during use
Who Are the C2A Jurors?
The C2A jury panel is composed over 30 creative industry professionals: directors, curators, publishers, and other influential luminaries. Some big names include the likes of 2019 Muse Creative Awards winner Min Lu, Apple senior graphic designer Xi Alone Zong, and Arvin Maleki of Futuredge Design Studio.

Send in Your Submissions for C2A Now
Submitting anytime between now and April 15 will grant you an Early Bird discount: 20 percent off the submission fee. The regular deadline is August 15, and the winners will be announced 4 to 6 weeks after that date.
It’s worth trying to catch that discount, because the submission fees are a little hefty.
If you’re a working professional in the creative industry, it’ll cost you $ 300 per entry. You can submit the same entry into other categories for $ 200 each. Working for a nonprofit organization? You can send C2A an email to team@c2award.com to find out if you’re eligible for reduced fees.
Meanwhile, the fee for hobbyists and students is $ 80 per entry, and $ 50 per additional category (if same entry is submitted to multiple categories).
