Sennheiser Teases Premium High-Fidelity In-Ear Headphones

Delta Online News

Sennheiser announces high-fidelity in-ear headphones at CES. The IE 300 are wired headphones that transport Sennheiser’s famed superior sound in a premium design. What stands out is that the 3.5 mm cable is replaceable.

Wired for Exceptional Sound Quality

Wired headphones are making a comeback. Audiophiles know that, in terms of audio quality, they’re miles ahead of their wireless counterparts. With the IE 300, Sennheiser satisfies the increasing demand for a detailed high-fidelity listening experience at home and on-the-go.

Sennheiser equipped the IE 300 with a refined version of its 7 mm Extra Wide Band transducer, manufactured at the company’s headquarters in Germany. The engineers have optimized every single component that contributes to the headphones’ sound quality, minimizing natural resonances, total harmonic distortion, and reflection within the housing, and removing masking resonances in the ear canal for a more refined and detailed treble. You can expect a well-balanced sound signature, excellent sonic accuracy, and clear high frequencies.

Jermo Köhnke, Product Manager at Sennheiser, sums it up:

When you are passionate about audio, details matter. That’s why we meticulously crafted the IE 300 to let listeners hear every nuance in their music. The IE 300 is designed to be a companion on the go, while still providing a superior audio experience, no matter your surroundings.

Designed for Comfort and Durability

For the perfect fit and optimal noise isolation, the IE 300 come with adaptable flexible ear hooks and both silicone and foam ear tips in three sizes.

The included 3.5 mm cable can withstand thousands of bend cycles, thanks to its para-aramid reinforcement. It plugs into the earphones using a high-quality gold-plated Fidelity+ MMCX connector, which provides additional strain relief and makes the cable replaceable. You can optionally get a 2.5 mm cable that plugs into the same 4.4 connectors on the earphones (pictured below).

To store your IE 300 in-hear headphones, Sennheiser ships them with a premium carry case.

Sennheiser IE 300 Availability

The Sennheiser IE 300 will hit stores on January 19 with a $ 300 price tag.

That’s steep, but knowing Sennheiser, you’ll get what you pay for. If your pockets aren’t that deep, have a look at the affordable Bluetooth headphones Sennheiser announced last week.
