Last month, Google announced that it’ll be bringing a fully-featured video editor to the Google Photos app. That day has now come and some users are seeing this video editor in Google Photos on their Android devices.
Google Photos’ Video Editor Arrives on Android
A user has posted on Twitter that they’re now able to use the newly announced video editor in Google Photos on their Pixel device. This editor became available right after they updated their phone with the March Drop features.

This video editor is part of the Google Photos app and is not a standalone app, as you may already know.
Features in Google Photos’ Video Editor
This video editor comes with many features to let you enhance and apply effects to your videos. Here are some of the features you’ll see in it.
Crop Videos
Cropping is one of the basic video editing tasks and Google Photos now includes this option for you. You can now crop your videos freely as well as using existing crop sizes.
Adjust Brightness and Other Levels
There’s now an Adjust tab in the app to let you adjust various levels for your videos. This includes your brightness, contract, white point, as well as a few other levels.

There’s a slider that you can use to adjust these levels for your videos.
Apply Filters to Videos
Google Photos now boasts various filters that you can apply to your videos. These filters change how your videos look, and you can use the one that can best describe your content.
Markup Tools
Lastly, the video editor has a markup tool to let you annotate your videos.
Devices You Can Use Google Photos’ Video Editor On
As Google notes, the video editor is available to all Google Photos users. However, the company seems to be rolling this out gradually, which means you may or may not see this option in your app right away.
If you’re on iOS, you can access the video editor right now. It’s just the Android users that need to wait a while before they can use this feature.
Edit Videos on Android With Google Photos
With so many new features, Google Photos is no longer just a photo management service. You can now use the app to edit your photos as well as videos—all from the familiar Photos interface.
