EA Play Is Coming to Xbox Game Pass for PC

Delta Online News

For a small monthly fee, the Xbox Game Pass brings you a library of games that you can dip into at any time. It’s heralded as the “Netflix of gaming,” and now PC gamers will also enjoy a wider library with the inclusion of EA Play.

EA Play’s (Second) Debut on the Xbox Game Pass

News of this development broke on the Xbox Wire. Starting March 18, 2021, PC gamers will enjoy all of EA Play’s library at no additional cost to them.

If you’re having a moment of deja vu right now, it’s not just your imagination. Microsoft has previously announced that EA Play was making its way onto the Xbox Game Pass back in September 2020.

However, back then, Microsoft was announcing the change for console owners only. PC gamers were left out of the deal… until now, that is.

Microsoft is keen to share what titles are making their way onto the Xbox Game Pass for PC:

More than 60 of EA’s biggest and best PC games like Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, FIFA 20, Titanfall 2 and Need for Speed Heat, as well as titles from some of EA’s most popular franchises like Battlefield, Madden NFL, Command & Conquer, and The Sims.

Not only that, but both PC and Xbox subscribers will get to play Star Wars: Squadrons the day it’s released at no additional cost.

EA Play members can also try out demos of some of the company’s most popular games. For instance, your pass will get you 10 hours of play from FIFA 21, making it a great way to try before you buy. And when you do decide to buy, you’ll find exclusive member discounts on games.

To get started, you’ll need to download the EA Desktop app and link your Xbox account to it. Once done, you should get EA Play automatically.

Getting More From the Xbox Game Pass

While console gamers have enjoyed EA Play’s library for a few months now, it’s now time for PC gamers to get in on the same deal. It requires a little bit of setting up, but once done, you’ll have access to EA Play without paying anything extra.

If you’re getting into the Xbox Game Pass for the first time, it’s a good idea to learn the differences between the regular and Ultimate versions. They both have their perks, so be sure to pick the right one to get the most out of your subscription.
